Welcome!

Hello everyone, and welcome to my personal website. I'm here lost in thought on what to write in this introductory note, without much of a clue on how to attract any attention from possible visitors. So I'll just stick to what I know, and the reason why I've decided to create my own webspace along with a blog. (My apologies to any serious writers that might read this, I know you loathe blogs.)

Have you got an interest in photography? Or perhaps graphic design? If so, then please carry on reading.

There are two things in life that I've learned to love over the years, and that I've been engaged with since a very early age, and those are photography and graphic design.

I started delving into photography around the age of twelve in my home country of Portugal, when I won a small camera in a television contest back in 1995. Ever since then I've been keen to learn and absorb everything I can about good photography and composition.

The other parallel love of mine in the creative field is graphic design and image manipulation. I like to create - or rather design - websites as a hobby, and as a result I end up creating a lot of the graphic assets and images to use in said websites. Closely tied to this is photo editing and post-production. I'm very familiar with Photoshop, having taught myself how to use it since version 5.0 in '98.  So, unlike many photographers, I actually enjoy the entire process of post-production.

I realise this introduction might seem somewhat self-serving. Instead of leaving my thoughts on one or another aspect of photography/graphic design, with possible useful information or tips on how to achieve this or that, It might seem I'm trying to 'sell' myself, which is partially true...

This introduction serves a double purpose, which finally brings me to the reason I've created the website. For one, I'm looking to get a foothold in the photography and image editing industry in the U.K. Secondly, I want to share my love for photography with everyone that might be interested, because that's how I learned so much about it. Other people were willing to share their ideas and technical knowledge, they wanted to share with others what they knew and what they were passionate about, and I am grateful for that.

I believe if you have truly found something you love doing, you'll want to share it with everyone you can, and not just keep it to yourself. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have enjoyed making it.

Thank you for visiting!
